ABOUT DEEP YOGA
Our yoga trainings not only encompass the classical and traditional understandings of yoga asana, pranayama and philosophy, but also incorporates knowledge of modern day science from, amongst many others, the works of Dr. Alexander Lowen, Dr. Timbergen, Dr. Lorenzo, the Chicago Rehabilitation Center, Amy Cuddy, and the Buteko method of pranayama. By combining the classical and modern, we have developed a system to understand yoga postures and pranayama, and how they relate to the physical, mental, emotional and energetic layers of the human body.
We believe that there are various ways to enter meditation as a powerful form of healing. Besides providing training in yoga postures and pranayama, we also peruse catharsis, laughter and dance as doorways to meditation.
Our Unique Way
Our courses are specially designed to create awareness in our student’s individual practice and also to deepen their understanding of the teachings of yoga. Our school and courses are recognized by the Yoga Alliance of America and the International Yoga Federation of Europe.
During your journey with us, we will guide you towards the multiple aspects of yoga – not only the cultural and traditional but also the professional and scientific.
Our methodology is based on Organic Postural Adjustment, a structure based on the work of Alexander Lowen and Dr. Nikolaas Timbergen, who was awarded a Nobel Prize in 1973 for his research on postural therapy. In his research based on Alexander work he discovered that the correct posture will spontaneously bring health and healing to the body.

We have a Traditional yoga approach which is combined with Western Psychosomatic and Physio yoga healing-based technique which aims to restore the correct and balanced posture in a yogi. As such, our trainings are aimed at allowing our students to find a neutral position from their feet, knees, pelvis, spine, rib cage and skull. According to modern studies, this balanced posture allows the human body to not only develop strength and stamina, but also heal faster and more efficiently.
Our combination of postural adjustment in yoga postures is a unique combination of traditional and scientific methods. Our international graduates are successfully practicing and teaching this technique to guide their students and clients towards a more balanced and correct way to practice yoga and maintain proper posture in their daily lives.
In line with Organic Postural Adjustment, our approach to yoga is breath-based. Your breath will guide you towards the right posture for your unique, individual self. Imbalances in the rib cage and spine, as well as incorrect breathing patterns do not allow the proper muscles to be activated during breathing. This leads to the over-use of other muscles and structures of the body, which can lead to muscle stress and injury. Thus, we place utmost emphasis and attention on our students’ understanding of the importance of breathing with the diaphragm and correct breathing patterns.
